Events
Whether you are a lifelong enthusiast or simply curious about Stirling’s rich past, you are very welcome to join us. Our programme runs throughout the year: lectures and talks during the winter months, and field visits, excursions and excavations from April to September — exploring everything from Roman forts and Iron Age hillforts to medieval abbeys and historic museums across central Scotland.
All our events are free and open to everyone — you do not need to be a member to take part. Voluntary donations are always appreciated and help the Society continue its work.
For summer outings, please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the terrain. Saturday excursions are all-day events, so please bring a packed lunch. We normally meet at the Castleview Park & Ride (free parking: FK9 4TW, M9 junction 10) for directions and any last-minute instructions.
The Society exercises normal prudence in planning and conducting its outings, and participants take part on the understanding that they do so at their own risk. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
No external events listed for this period at the moment.
