Cowie Rock Art
Rock Art, which refers to cup and ring marks and variations that are carved into rock outcrops, is usually found on higher ground to the north and west of Stirling: in 2014 we visited some above the Lake of Menteith. Those at Cowie, unusual for their lowland location and notable for their number and extent, are accessible in rough ground after a walk of some 25–30 minutes each way along a good path from the nearest parking.
