 e north and west of Stirling: in 2014 we visited some above the Lake of Me
 nteith. Those at Cowie\, unusual for their lowland location and notable fo
 r their number and extent\, are accessible in rough ground after a walk of
  some 25–30 minutes each way along a good path from the nearest parking.
