DESCRIPTION:One of the most intriguing and enigmatic sights to be seen in t
 he landscape are the 'cup and ring' motifs that can be found on rock surfa
 ces throughout most of Scotland\, often in groups and associated with othe
 r symbols. Our speaker\, the principal investigator for the Scottish Rock 
 Art project and co-author of the resulting publication of the same name\, 
 will tell us what is currently known about them.This evening also includes
  the Society's Annual General Meeting.
