SUMMARY:The Bridge of Allan Well House
DESCRIPTION:Bridge of Allan owes its development as a spa town to the miner
al water seeping from a 16th century copper mine\, water that was extracte
d via a shaft below the Well House\, built in 1821. In 2016 the link betwe
en the well shaft and the old workings was discovered\, which was followed
by their exploration. Our speaker continues to be closely involved in the
project and will describe its development.
